Somos Padeiros!
We’re Bakers!
We are a family of Generational Portuguese Bakers. In the 1950s, Agostinho Barradas the first, my Avó (grandfather) opened his first bakery. Today we’re keeping that heritage alive here in Kailua, Hawaii.
Born from generations of Portuguese tradition and revived with island warmth. We use simple, premium ingredients and a whole lot of Aloha to create a treat that feels both nostalgic and brand-new.
One bite, and you’ll understand why people call it
“sunshine in pastry form.”
Head of Baking
Agostinho Barradas Jr.
The youngest Barradas, Agostinho grew up in our Avo’s original bakery and moved to Oahu in 2020. Being a chef and a baker has been a lifelong passion. Today he carries on our traditional Portuguese Heritage by devoting himself completely to the craft of baking the perfect Pasteís de Nata.
Head of Sales
Nic Barradas
Agostinho’s eldest son, Nic grew up in a family where food meant love, pride, and doing things the right way. Cooking was never just a hobby, it was connection to culture, to memory, to family.
After years in the corporate grind, Nic felt something missing. When his last grandparent passed, it sharpened a truth he could no longer ignore: the things that matter most are built by hand. Shared at tables. Passed down.
He spent a year traveling where months in Lisbon and Porto changed everything. Watching locals gather over coffee and fresh Pastéis de Nata, showed him what food can really do. Slow people down, bring them together, and carry generations forward in a single bite.
Nic & Aloha Nata’s mission is simple: bring exceptional, handcrafted Pastéis de Nata to Oahu — made with the highest quality ingredients, rooted in Portuguese tradition, and shared with aloha.
